Iron Man as Outbound Man

Email prospecting, also called Cold emailing, is one of the most effective ways to boost your customer acquisition in B2B.
The must? It is also one of the most profitable ways, compared to many paid marketing approaches such as Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc.

Despite the meteoric profitability that outbound can bring you, qualitative prospecting can quickly become very difficult to carry out, especially in the management of reminders and the follow-up of prospects.

This is where contact automation or semi-automation software comes in. By choosing the right tools, they will allow you to automate certain key prospecting tasks, and allow you to free up valuable time to focus on developing your business.

Let's take the numerical example of Tom, CEO of Coolcorp:

💡 Tom approaches an average of 30 prospects per day for his company Coolcorp, it takes him about 5 minutes by email to send. That is 5 min x 30 = 150min = 2h30min per day. With an adapted automation tool, allowing him to contact and follow up his prospects at the best time in an automated manner, this could reduce Tom's time to 5 or 10 minutes per day only. That is a time saving of 2 hours 20 minutes per day, the equivalent of 1 day and a half of work per week.

👉 You will have understood that automating email sending processes will allow you to save precious time.

But finding the best tool (and the most adapted to your needs) is not always easy.

There are hundreds of different ones, with different functionalities.

To save you days of research and comparisons, we have prepared the Ultimate Selection of the 7 Best Tools on the Market according to the Leadix team.

But before we dive into it, let's define together what makes a good automation tool.

What makes a good cold emailing tool in 2024?

Understand the differences between Newsletter and cold emailing tools

The first key point for a tool of Cold emailing is to ensure optimal deliverability, i.e. that your message arrives in front of the person you want to contact. For this, it is essential to start by differentiating Newsletter sending tools (such as Mailchimp, Mailjet, SendinBlue) from cold emailing tools (such as Lemlist, Woodpecker, etc.).

Newsletters sending tools Aim to convey a “branded” message (i.e. in the image of your brand), formatted in an aesthetic way, much like a website, and sent to a user base that has given their email address to be kept up to date with news from the company in question.

Newsletter National georgraphic

National Geographic Newsletter Example

The visual structure of newsletters is actually an email that is easy for email servers to identify (which often categorizes them as a promotional email or SPAM)In addition, the sending servers for this type of tool are generally shared, which means that emails do not come from your own email server, but from a server common to other users of the tool. The problem with shared servers is that incorrect use of the tool by other users can affect the deliverability of your emails.

Cold emailing tools For their part, the objective is to create a first commercial contact, with a prospect with whom you have not yet had contact (who has therefore not subscribed to your newsletter). The objective will therefore initially be to optimize as much as possible the Deliverability of your message, namely that it ends up in the main email box of your prospect.

⚡ Unlike the newsletter, the prospecting email should not be beautiful, but effective.

The aim will be to quickly convince you that you can bring value to your prospect. Prospecting emails will thus be mostly textual, as brief as possible and above all always sent from a server that is specific to you.

The deliverability of automation tools

The first good news with these cold e-mailing tools is that the 4 key factors of your deliverability are not linked to them.

These 4 factors are:

  • Your email server (Gmail account, Outlook, etc.)
  • The reputation of your domain name (mycompany.com)
  • The technical configuration of your email box (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
  • Your prospecting data (contact data and verified email addresses)

Deliverability test with mail-tester.com

The tool you will use will thus have only a minority impact on your deliverability. However, most tools will allow you to limit the volume of shipments to protect your deliverability score. Some of the tools, like Lemlist (or Woodpecker), go a step further and have a system for “pre-heating” your email address included (under the name of Lemwarm for Lemlist), allowing you to easily get the email servers used to see your email address send a large number of emails Without considering you as SPAM. Using a pre-heating tool is necessary as soon as you want to be able to be able to contact a large number of prospects, but is especially essential when you start from a new email address that has only a few sending histories.

Mailreach Is also a tool that allows you to do this pre-heating work without going through Lemlist or Woodpecker.

Automation features

The main purpose of a cold emailing tool is to be able to send messages, and Custom Reminders according to pre-established rule patterns.

The “mail merge” feature, allowing you to send an email to a contact list by customizing certain fields (such as name, first name, etc.) is more than 20 years old. It is therefore no longer the feature that brings value today.

You Can Find Free Google Sheet Scripts Online to Do So, or Free Tools Under a Certain Daily Volume, Such as YAMM (Yet Another Mail Merge) gold Pigeon Mail.

What will make an automation tool good will be the possibility of setting up follow-up sequences, with conditions for continuing or stopping the sending of messages depending on the actions of the prospect (e.g. response, visiting your website, making appointments in your calendar), but also on which channels the tool is capable of doing so. Some tools will only allow prospecting by email, while others will allow you to mix with other social platforms such as LinkedIn or Twitter, or even directly manage telephone calls (cold calls).

Enrichment of contacts

Where most automation tools will allow you to contact and Relaunch your prospects Based on pre-established rules, the majority of them will not provide you with the contacts to fuel your prospecting campaigns.

This is not particularly problematic because the three jobs are very different (Identification, enrichment and automated contact), and it is often preferable to find your leads with a selection of tools (example: LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Society Info,...) enrich them with others (Dropcontact, Datagma,...) and then contact them with the solution that best suits your needs.

Despite the interest of specialization, some tools have been developed with the aim of becoming a one-stop shop, an all-in-one solution for your prospecting, such as Apollo. You will find more details on this one in the selection of tools that follows.

Monitoring of results & A/B tests

An important point in developing an effective prospecting strategy is to be able to monitor the results of your campaigns, as well as your tests (A/B testing). Thus, being able to monitor the rates of opening, clicks, responses, but also of interest, will be key to adjusting your strategy.

Being effective in outbound requires an iterative approach and numerous tests. Platforms that allow for the clearest possible monitoring will thus be a real asset in order to become efficient.

The integrations

While integrations are not “necessary” as such, a well-oiled business machine will often be done with interconnected tools.

Upstream, we will find lead generation, or data enrichment, and downstream, the follow-up of contacts established in a CRM, in order to be able to follow and interact with prospects according to their various stages in the acquisition funnel.

Selecting the Best Tools According to Leadix

1. Lemlist

Lemlist is a French prospecting tool, developed by Guillaume Moubeche and the two Lecroart brothers.

Lemlist makes it possible to carry out multi-channel prospecting campaigns (E-mail + LinkedIn). The tool allows the creation of highly personalized messages, from text personalization, to personalized images and videos to text variants (liquid syntax) based on genre, time or date.

Included in the subscription price Lemlist, you will also have access to Lemwarm allowing you to pre-heat your email, to see where your emails are arriving (Spam or not) and to ensure a good deliverability score throughout your prospecting campaigns.

There is a native integration with the 3 main CRMs on the market (Hubspot, Pipedrive and Salesforce), which allows you to create continuity between your Lemlist campaigns and your CRM.

If you use a CRM different from the 3 presented, you can always synchronize all of your campaigns in a custom way via Zapier.

One of the significant strengths of Lemlist, is his campaign reports. To monitor the performance of your campaigns, you have access to an ultra-complete dashboard (opening rate, clicks, responses and interests), allowing reports for each campaign, but also for a set of selected campaigns or a very specific period.

The ease of reading and understanding dashboards is a real asset for understanding the weak points of your sequences and improving them.

For example, here is a summary of the results of 2 combined campaigns:

And an email + LinkedIn campaign, with more granularity on the steps:

Bonus:

Lemlist has recently released some very interesting new features, Lemlist AI On the one hand, to support the creation of sequences using artificial intelligence. Intelligence allows you to create prospecting sequences based on a few short questions in a few seconds. Of course, these are only the beginnings, and this does not replace a pro copywriter sequence, but it can be very helpful if you are new to prospecting.

On the Other Side, We Have Lemcal, a new product in the whole Lempire (Lemlist's main company), to allow appointments to be made easier as a result of sequences, and this, perfectly integrated with Lemlist (and free of charge!).

Benefits of Lemlist

  • Multichannel prospecting (Email + Linkedin)
  • Extensive customization (text, images, video, landing page)
  • Possibility to A/B test messages (or entire sequences)
  • Integrated email pre-heating system (Lemwarm)
  • Previewing Messages Before Sending
  • Native integration with the 3 main CRMs on the market (Hubspot, Pipedrive, Salesforce)
  • Possibility to add Cold calling and Call API steps in campaigns
  • Practical Chrome extension to add leads to your campaigns directly from their LinkedIn profiles (while allowing you to already write a personalized introduction)
  • Possibility to enrich contacts extracted from LinkedIn directly
  • User-Friendly and Comprehensive Results Dashboard
  • Messenger sequences assisted by Artificial Intelligence (new!)

⛔️ Negative Aspects of Lemlist

  • Possibility to import the list of prospects/customers only from a csv file
  • Synchronizing leads with CRM is only possible if there is an email address.
  • No central messaging system from Lemlist to manage replies

🔦 prizes

  • Starting at €59 per month for prospecting by email only.
  • Starting at €99 for Email + Linkedin + Cold Calling
  • Free 14 day trial period.
  • Possibility to have access to Lemarm only from 29€/month.

2. The Growth Machine

The Growth Machine Was originally created by the Growth Hacking Agency Two.io.

It all started in 2017 when they set up a multi-channel prospecting campaign that exploded everything: nearly 4000 conversions in 3 months for one of their client 🤯 .Following this success, they understood the power of multichannel and set out to build a prospecting platform. In 2019, a first version of LaGrowthMachine was released. Since 2021, the solution has been open to the public in SAAS and is improving year by year.

LaGrowthMachine allows you to carry out multi-channel prospecting campaigns (E-mail + LinkedIn + Twitter) that are fully automated and personalized.

A multitude of pre-made workflows will be offered to you, depending on the platforms you want to use (Email, LinkedIn, Email + LinkedIn, Email + LinkedIn, Email + LinkedIn + Twitter).

It is also possible to create your own prospecting workflow (or to set it up quickly using templates), but for this you will unfortunately have to switch to the most expensive plan (180€/month).

Fortunately, the workflows proposed in the lower plans will often be sufficient for you because they are well thought out. Example of a multi-channel email + LinkedIn + Twitter campaign with logic rules:

CRM integration is also possible with Hubspot and Pipedrive. However, you will also need to upgrade to the ultimate version (the most expensive) to access it.

The Growth Machine, unlike others, offers an exclusive feature: the LGM inbox. An inbox containing all of your LinkedIn, Email, Twitter conversations and the possibility of replying directly from the tool.

Bonus, The team recently also released 3 interesting new features:

  1. The possibility of generating messages helped by Artificial Intelligence, with their “Magic Messages”
  1. The possibility of qualifying a lead following a response in detail (out of office, bad timing, interested, appointments made, converted, not interested,...)

Although from our point of view, the simple “interested”/“not interested” does the trick relatively well.

  1. A new free trial plan to be able to test the tool for 14 days (It was time 👀).

Benefits of The Growth Machine

  • Multichannel prospecting (Email + Linkedin + Twitter)
  • Creating sequences with If/Else logic rules
  • Possibility to A/B test content
  • Extensive customization
  • Inbox LGM (Manage All Messages and Reply to Them in the Same Place)
  • Native integration with Hubspot and Pipedrive
  • Enrichment of contacts included in the subscription
  • Detailed Qualification of Leads from the Pro Plan
  • Local widget (on your computer) for more security when connecting to apps (LinkedIn and Twitter), because directly from your IP address.
  • Voice messages on Linkedin

⛔️ Negative Aspects of The Growth Machine

  • The price (If you only want to prospect by email, you have to pay for all the features without the possibility of reducing the price)
  • The result dashboards are not the most readable
  • No email pre-heating system

🔦 prizes

  • Starting at €60 per month (up to 3 campaigns maximum and limited workflows)
  • €120 per month for the PRO version giving access to the LGM inbox, to lead qualification in the app, to AI-assisted writing (up to 6 campaigns maximum).
  • €180 per month to get the full version of the tool.
  • A 14-day trial has recently been available.

3. Waalaxy

Waalaxy (formerly under the name ProspectIn) is the reference tool for LinkedIn prospecting based on a Google Chrome extension.

Although Waalaxy allows multi-channel campaigns, it is on LinkedIn that it has become the reference, because unlike many tools limited in terms of volume on LinkedIn, Waalaxy has more than one trick up its sleeve.

In fact, Linkedin limits its users to sending a hundred invitations per week, or a maximum of twenty per day (and it is even advisable to stay under 15 so as not to put your profile at risk). Waalaxy is one of the only tools that allow you to bypass (“bypass”) LinkedIn's limitation quotas. The tool allows you to bypass this “classic” connection request limit by a connection request linked to your prospect's email address.

Long story short is as if you were asking LinkedIn to add all your pre-established network (whose contacts you already have) to the platform. They don't limit this approach in the same way. Thus, Waalaxy allows you to contact between 500 and 700 people on LinkedIn per week, without taking risks for your LinkedIn account.

In addition to the interesting number of invitations you can make, Waalaxy also allows you to create a list of leads to contact directly from a LinkedIn search. Convenient to go fast, a little less to be precise.

You will also have the possibility of doing “auto-pilot” campaigns. Being 100% transparent is possible with other tools as well, but not as simply. For example, you can run a campaign on people who have:

  • Added to your Sales Navigator lists
  • Commented on one of your posts
  • Visit your profile
  • Etc.

Finally, Waalaxy is designed to simplify your life, you will need less than 5 minutes to launch your first prospecting campaign.

Whether by type of need (networking, recruitment, affiliation, sales,...) or by type of platform (LinkedIn or Linkedin + email), you will be able to choose from a set of more than 100 sequence templates with names that are each more improbable than the next.

The positive side is that it's quick and easy. You can also choose your sequences according to their level of difficulty. What is a little less so is that you are very limited if you want to go a step further in prospecting. Typically, you can only customize your messages with 3 types of variables: {FirstName}, {LastName} and {CompanyName}.

In summary, if you want to make volume on LinkedIn, Waalaxy is made for you. If, on the other hand, you want to do personalized prospecting, create your own custom sequences, and make messages with extensive customization, the tool is simply not designed for.

Level of news on the Waalaxy side:

You certainly expected it, Waalaxy has also taken the AI wave, and has released a new feature built on it. An interesting point is that unlike an AI that reflects the writing of messages, here theAI Prospect Finder Allows you to find new profiles corresponding to a list of pre-established profiles.

The future will tell us if this works well, but the concept is very nice!

Benefits of Waalaxy

  • Easy to Use and Handle
  • Bypass LinkedIn's limiting quotas
  • Integration with Dropcontact to find emails (via E-mail Finder)
  • 100+ templates according to your needs and advanced use cases + or -
  • Go from Looking for Leads to a Campaign Launched in Record Time
  • Allows you to launch a sequence directly from a LinkedIn search (or LinkedIn Sales Navigator) or even auto-pilot from interactions with your LinkedIn profile.
  • User-friendly and easy to follow results dashboard.
  • Improved LinkedIn messaging (pre-recorded replies, message scheduling,...)

⛔️ Negative Aspects of Waalaxy

  • No possibility to create custom campaigns (only based on templates)
  • Very limited customization of sequences (too much to be effective in prospecting)
  • No management of action quota limits (message sending volume limit)

🔦 prizes

  • Free to start prospecting LinkedIn up to 50 invitations sent per week (for life, that's nice)
  • €80 per month for “Advanced” prospecting, only on LinkedIn
  • €120 per month for “Business” prospecting, LinkedIn + Email, including the email finder
  • And €20 more per month to have access to the Waalaxy inbox.

4. Woodpecker

Woodpecker is a Polish software created in 2015, which has become a reference in email prospecting. The tool allows you to carry out automated and personalized email prospecting campaigns. You will be able to customize your messages with a lot of variables: {FirstName}, {FirstName}, {LastName}, {Company}, {Email}, {Industry}, {Industry}, {Country}, {Country}, your imagination will be the only limit.

One of the particularities of Woodpecker is that it also allows you to create campaigns with different follow-up paths depending on the response of the prospect. The intelligence of the tool makes it possible, for example, to follow up with a prospect following an email of absence for vacation with an adapted message, which is very practical.

It is also possible to create and save your own templates to be able to reuse them later in order to save time.

You can connect your CRM natively if you are on Hubspot, Zoho, or Pipedrive. Integrations with other CRMs will also be possible, via Zapier.

As Lemwarm is included in the Lemlist subscription, here you have the “Warm-up & recovery” option included in the Woodpecker subscription price. You will thus be able to pre-heat your emails before launching your prospecting campaigns to ensure optimal deliverability. It's even possible to pre-heat multiple email addresses at the same time, all at no additional cost. That's cool!

The “Recovery” option is useful for domains or email addresses that have shown deliverability problems in the past in order to gain a good reputation again. You will also have access to a deliverability report. This will allow you to detect deliverability issues before they occur and react consistently to always ensure that your emails reach the main inbox 💪

Thanks to the functionality Bounce Shield, Woodpecker will automatically pause your campaigns before you exceed the maximum limit of emails sent per day to avoid having your account blocked by your email provider. This function is not Rocket Science because most tools offer it, but always useful to know that it is present!

One of the interesting features that will make a difference in your deliverability is that Woodpecker includes an email address verification service. Each email list you upload to Woodpecker will be checked by the Bouncer tool, to limit invalid emails that could affect your deliverability score. So by using Woodpecker, you're saving a Bouncer subscription. On this one hand: practical.

To monitor the performance of your campaigns, you have access to a complete dashboard (opening rate, clicks, responses, interests) to understand what are the strengths and weaknesses of your campaigns and where to focus on improving them.

Although Woodpecker was (and for a long time) only focused on email. The team recently invested heavily in the multi-channel approach (finally), by developing a integration with Dux-soup for Linkedin automations, and a Woodpecker Call app for Android.

So it is now possible with the Woodpecker Sales Assistant to create campaigns with LinkedIn steps (profile view, invitation, invitation, invitation, message, inmail), and calls directly from the woodpecker app (currently only on Android).

A nice step up in the multi-channel movement for the historic champion of pure email 💪.

Bonus: Free email signature ✍️

If you didn't know that the format of your email signature can have a real negative impact on your deliverability, (well now you know it! 🤓), but above all you can create one completely free of charge and optimized thanks to Woodpecker with their Free email signature generator.

Woodpecker benefits

  • Warm-up & Recovery option for multiple emails (included in price)
  • Possibility to create a follow-up scenario based on the contact's response
  • Possibility to A/B test messages (up to 5 versions In the same campaign)
  • Management of responses on several addresses or domains via the Woodpecker inbox
  • Native integration with Hubspot and Pipedrive or Zoho
  • Email verification included in the tool (via Bouncer)
  • Multi-channel approach thanks to its integration with Dux-soup
  • Dedicated cold calling app (on Android)

⛔️ Negative aspects

  • Not a tool originally created for multichannel (depends on external integration)
  • Price based on the number of prospects contacted (although more than enough)

🔦 prizes

  • Starting at €39 per month per user for the cold email version (but A/B testing and API access & integrations are optional)
  • Starting at €49 per month per user for the Sales Assistant version (with LinkedIn, Call & SMS automations via the dedicated app). With A/B testing and API access & integrations always optional.

5. Overloop

Overloop, formerly Prospect io, is a veteran of multi-channel prospecting (E-mail + LinkedIn). Initially launched as a sales-oriented CRM, to then evolve into a prospecting automation platform, Overloop is now halfway between the two.

The tool gives you the possibility to create your campaign from A to Z and personalize it with a good number of events available to you (email, LinkedIn profile visit, connection check, invitation or LinkedIn message, invitation or LinkedIn message, invitation or LinkedIn message, invitation or LinkedIn message, invitation or LinkedIn message, invitation or LinkedIn message, invitation or LinkedIn message, invitation or LinkedIn message, deadlines, conditional step,...).

A bit like LaGrowthMachine, you build your sequence as you want, with your own conditional rules, except that here you are not limited to templates when you have the classic subscription. Your campaigns can be built as user journeys, with conditions at key stages. For example, if the prospect does not accept your LinkedIn invitation, you can switch to email reminders only.

It's great for prospecting experts. But if you want to launch your first campaigns, it becomes a bit less easy because unfortunately there are no templates to inspire you. In summary: the field of possibilities, but you embark on the adventure alone.

Regarding integrations, Overloop integrates natively with the 3 main CRMs on the market (Hubspot, Pipedrive and Salesforce).

Overloop also offers a Chrome extension, which is practical for building and enriching your lists of prospects via LinkedIn in 1 click thanks to the “Email Finder” option. The Overloop extension also allows you to add prospects directly to your campaigns via LinkedIn.

To monitor the performance of your campaigns, you have access to a very detailed dashboard, which is good, but a bit too detailed, because you will find everything in the same place, even what you are not looking for. Thus, it is sometimes necessary to take out a magnifying glass to find the information you are looking for. 🔍

A matter of habit.

The particularity of Overloop is that its CRM past follows suit. That is to say, unlike other tools where you create your contact lists directly linked to a campaign, at Overloop, you will first have to create a list of prospects, at the other your campaign, and then link the two. When replying to your campaigns, they will be found in another section, not linked to your campaign as well. From our point of view, this aspect still needs to be improved, because although functional, it is not the most intuitive.

One of the particular aspects of Overloop (and certainly linked to its past as a CRM) is its view in a “Deal Flow” format. Nice enough to know which leads to focus on to close quickly. In short, this view replaces a connection that would usually be made with another tool and your CRM.

To conclude, Overloop is a bit the result of a mix between multi-channel prospecting tools and CRM.

Benefits of Overloop

  • Multichannel prospecting (Email + Linkedin)
  • Advanced Customization
  • Email finder included
  • Business and customer management like a CRM
  • Native integration with the 3 main CRMs on the market (Hubspot, Pipedrive, Salesforce)
  • Chrome extension to find emails and add profiles to your campaigns
  • If/else campaigns, allowing different paths depending on the stages
  • Possibility to add cold calling stages by connecting Aircall (coming soon ⌛️)

⛔️ Negative aspects

  • Not the easiest to use
  • The tool is limited by highly restrictive LinkedIn quotas (and does not have a bypass)
  • The price (If you only want to prospect by email, you have to pay for all the features without the possibility of reducing the price)
  • No possibility of review lead by lead before the sequences are sent. But good news, the team told us that they are currently working on it!

🔦 prizes

  • Unique and simple offer at 99€ (including 250 credits for the E-mail Finder)
  • For the “Email Finder” option, there is a credit system: 39€/month=250 credits

6. Breakcold

Breakcold is a 3 in one software: software for Social Selling, has Sales CRM & Cold email software.

The tool allows you to carry out fully automated and personalized multi-channel e-mail prospecting campaigns thanks to numerous variables.OK, until then, you are starting to know. But that's not all! One thing that Breakcold understood well is that in order to sell to highly digitized targets (and therefore often bombarded with messages), it becomes essential to multiply the points of contact with your prospects, to be everywhere and all the time at the same time. Breakold thus stands out for its appearance. Social Selling In addition to traditional prospecting.

Social selling means interacting via social networks with your prospects to create a link that will help you stay “top of mind”, in other words, in the mind of your prospect when making a decision. Will it help to close an uninterested lead? No. But it allows you to keep the pressure on a lead who could convert, in an intelligent way.

The tool therefore offers a prospecting feed that allows you to create lists of prospects and customers to then interact with their Linkedin/Twitter publications within the platform. No need to search for them one by one on the networks for fear of missing their content, you can now comment, like the posts of your prospects or even contact them directly via a single platform: Breakcold.

The Social feed by Breakcold also allows you to create personalized introductions (Icebreakers) easily, by bouncing directly on the content that your prospects have shared on LinkedIn or Twitter. You can even incorporate news about your prospect's company, which allows you to be even more creative in the messages to be sent.

The CRM sales aspect of Breakcold, which is found in its “Pipeline” view, allows you to see all of your leads according to their stage in your acquisition funnel, and thus know which ones to focus on to close.

The little bonus of Breakcold, when you create your cold e-mailing sequences, is that you will discover an email writing assistant that gives you a score of probability of receiving a response. It also warns you if you use “spam words” that could reduce your deliverability. So of course, the score is only an indicator, but very practical when starting out in digital prospecting.

The only small problem with Breakcold: despite the possibility of interacting directly with the social networks of your prospects, you can automate only pure email sequences.

Breakcold benefits

  • Automated prospecting by Email + Social feed (LinkedIn & Twitter)
  • Social Selling & Tracking LinkedIn + Twitter for your prospects
  • Extensive customization
  • Integrated sales CRM
  • Unlimited number of team members (for the same price)
  • Chrome extension to sync your leads from LinkedIn
  • Email address verification system
  • Email assistant (for writing that converts)
  • Access to the Breakcold Academy

⛔️Negative aspects

  • No pre-heating system for your email
  • No multichannel in prospecting campaigns (email only)
  • Note: social interactions take place via the breakcold feed.
  • Less suitable for targets that are not very present on social networks

🔦 prizes

  • Free with access to all features for up to 20 contacts.
  • Access to Breakcold CRM (i.e. ****the social CRM aspect) for $29 per month with 3 slots included.
  • Access to Breakcold + (i.e. Social CRM and cold email) for $49 per month with 10 slots included and access to all Breakcold CRM features + others such as the cold email campaign option and email rotation (when an email reaches its daily limit, the campaign automatically switches to the next email to send the emails.)

7. Apollo.io

Apollo.io is an all-in-one solution for your prospecting.

Where the previous tools allowed you to solicit lists of prospects that you would have made, Apollo allows you to identify the targets that interest you, to enrich them and to carry out automated prospecting campaigns, all in one. It is therefore one of the few tools where you can find your prospects and contact them directly without changing platforms.

Apollo.io Has its own database that includes more than 200 million people, as well as 10 million businesses. The tool offers you a search engine that allows you to find the profiles that interest you based on many criteria:

  • Geographic area
  • News
  • Job titles
  • Number of employees
  • Industries and industry sub-categories
  • Technologies used
  • Turnover
  • Fundraising
  • Recruitments
  • Etc.

This search engine will also allow you to find the contact details of your prospects directly within the platform. You will therefore be able, for most of your contacts, to access emails, LinkedIn profiles and phone numbers (when available, of course).

Once your contacts have been identified, and your list of prospects created, you can create your cold e-mailing campaigns and add them to the created sequence:

Bonus:If you want to add cold-calling to your sequences, the tool also offers a “click-to-call” option allowing you to make your cold calls directly via Apollo.io And even save them if you want.

Appolo.io Also offers a Chrome extension that allows you to create lead lists directly via LinkedIn and add them to campaigns.

The extension allows you to extract information from your prospects with LinkedIn or via the company's website, to enrich them (emails & phone numbers) with Apollo data, as well as the latest insights (news) available and to synchronize them with your CRM.

In paid offers, you will have access to the “AI-assisted email writing” option to help you write your campaigns.

Apollo is therefore a kind of all-in-one tool to be able to identify, enrich and contact your prospects via cold e-mail campaigns!

A “One-stop shop” 🏪

Note, however, that even if multi-channel campaigns are theoretically possible, they will not be completely automatic as in the other tools because the LinkedIn steps (invitations, messages) will not be sent automatically, they will have to be carried out by hand, following a notification of a task to be carried out.

Not great for multi-channel, but Apollo is already doing a lot.

Benefits of Apollo.io

  • Large and comprehensive B2B database
  • Enrichment of contacts directly in the platform
  • Chrome extension to save and get more information about your prospects
  • All in one tool (Identification, Enrichment, Cold-contact)
  • Native integration with Hubspot and Salesforce
  • Native Tool for Cold Calling and Recording Calls
  • Artificial intelligence-assisted email writing

⛔️Negative aspects

  • No email pre-heating system
  • Quality of lead data sometimes not ideal

🔦 prizes

Congratulations on making it this far (or smart kid if you scrolled directly to here 🤪).

As you can see, each of these tools has strengths and weaknesses, and the most appropriate tool in one case will not always be the same for another.

In general, here is our recommendation of the ideal tool according to your needs:

Tu Beginnings in Prospecting Where Do You Want Focus on LinkedIn, and turn up the volume, so there's no doubt, Waalaxy Will be the best solution for you. Its easy-to-use interface, allowing you to launch campaigns in a few minutes, all without being limited by LinkedIn quotas, will be your right hand.

Si You Want to Go a Step Further in Your Prospecting in Terms of Targeting and Approach, but you don't want to rack your brains over a set of interconnected tools, then Apollo is made for you. An all-in-one solution, which will on average be able to do the job for which it was designed: to help you find new customers.

Si You are already more confirmed in prospecting, and that you want Boost your results with multi-channel approaches, so Lemlist gold The Growth Machine is made for you. Both are very good prospecting sidekicks, and you will quickly see that most growth marketers will use one or the other.

Si You Want to Focus on Cold Email, then the race horse for you will be Woodpecker. Despite their recent integration with Duxsoup, Woodpecker has historically developed heavily on e-mailing, and that's where we know it won't let go. A safe bet for emailing therefore.

Si You are not yet equipped with a CRM to manage your prospecting, Overloop Will allow you to meet a double need: a multi-channel prospecting tool and a CRM, all in one. More thought to do.

And lastly, If you are targeting highly digitized or active targets on social networks (Linkedin/Twitter), so Breakcold Will give you that little extra boost to create a bond with your prospects, in a world where attention has become the most difficult value to capture.

Congratulations, you are now perfectly equipped to contact your next customers semi-automatically.

Try to use your new powers wisely, Outbound-Man ⚡️
